A passion project come to life.

That's what Leif Media & PR is to me. After nearly 15 years of professional communications roles in the private, public and agency sectors, it was time to follow my heart into this venture. As a former K-12 school communicator in the Twin Cities metro, I’m passionate about the role that school PR plays in supporting students, families and communities.

Kindness, inclusion, empathy and joy are the values I live by every day—and those that frame my work as a communicator. I believe in communications with heart. And with an ability to combine this heart with exceptional writing and a strategic mindset, I deliver innovative solutions that exceed clients' expectations.

What else should you know about me?

  • I earned a master's degree in strategic communication. Lots of late nights—but so worth it in the end!

  • I was awarded a Gold Medallion Award from the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) in 2025—the top competitive award that honors truly strategic, impactful work in school communications.

  • My other NSPRA accolades include being named a "35 Under 35" emerging communications leader in 2020 and earning multiple Publications and Digital Media Excellence Awards throughout my tenure in school PR.

  • I’m a longtime member of the Minnesota School Public Relations Association (MinnSPRA) and currently serve in a leadership role as the organization’s Membership Chair.

  • I’ve presented on strategic communications, PR best practices, website accessibility and leadership at seminars hosted by NSPRA, MinnSPRA and the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits.

  • Crossword puzzles, game shows (specifically, People Puzzler) and Olympic-themed trivia are good for my soul.

  • I'm an avid reader—and I have a medal from fifth grade to prove it. (Cool, right?)

  • While my sweet tooth truly knows no limits, I consider myself to be a fro yo aficionado.

In addition to being a dedicated communications pro, I'm also dad to a dynamic duo known as Lila and Levi, plus a pawsitively perfect pup named Franklin. Disclaimer: If you see a wet nose or furry face peeking into our Zoom call from time to time, don’t be alarmed—that’s just Frankie micromanaging keeping tabs on me.
